Meet George Vondriska

George Vondriska, influenced by an exceptional junior high shop instructor, has been teaching woodworking since 1986.

 George has practiced the craft of woodworking many ways, from making custom furniture to running a commercial cabinet shop. But he found his niche in teaching, and has taught kids and adults everything from lathe turning to cabinetmaking. In addition to running his own school, George has taught employees of Anderson Window, Northwest Airlines and the Pentagon.

Before becoming the Managing Editor of Woodworkers Guild of America, George spent several years as an editor for American Woodworker magazine and contributed to numerous other publications.  In addition to his role with WWGOA, George regularly presents seminars at The Woodworking Shows and other events around the country.
