Join us for our first ever WWGOA Woodworking Challenge for 6 weeks of fun and challenging projects designed to get you back in the shop and creating with your hands. We’re really bringing the heat with this challenge too – each project is something you can use in the kitchen!

Guiding you throughout the challenge will be George Vondriska, master woodworker and Managing Editor of WWGOA, and Mike Rapp, woodworker extraordinaire and talent behind Mad Raven Woodworks. Each week you’ll join Mike and George in the building of a new project, and at the end of 6 weeks you’ll have a collection of handcrafted items to deck out your kitchen in style.

THE PROJECTS

GEORGE VONDRISKA

George Vondriska has been teaching woodworking since 1986. In addition to teaching classes at his own Vondriska Woodworks School, George is the Managing Editor and lead instructor for WoodWorkers Guild of America (WWGOA), a premier online resource for woodworking videos, ideas, and information. George also teaches at woodworking shows across the country and has taught woodworking for Peace Corps/Swaziland, Andersen Window, Northwest Airlines, and the Pentagon. He has had numerous magazine articles published, from tool reviews to shop improvement projects. Learn more about him and his school at www.vondriskawoodworks.com or see him in action at www.wwgoa.com.

MIKE RAPP

Mike Rapp of Mad Raven Woodworks is a 27-year-old craftsman from the St. Louis area of Missouri. He has a background in the fields of environmental management and sustainability, and he tries to incorporate that into his woodwork whenever he can. As a boy, Mike learned many of the woodworking techniques he uses today from his father and has taught himself much since then with the help of woodworking communities on Instagram and YouTube. You can see more of his work by checking out his YouTube and Instagram channels for Mad Raven Woodworks.

The challenge kicks off on Thursday, April 6th!
